- Great food & wonderful atmosphere
Being a vegetarian or vegan is hard in Prague unless you find a place like Maitrea. Maitrea is one of those restaurants that immediately make you feel welcome and like you've come to right place. The menu is very diverse. It ranges from more traditional Czech dishes to international cuisine. We tried a vegetarian dish with dumplings and a vegan curry. Both were excellent! For dessert we had a delicious white chocolate mousse with caramel wafers. Drinks are tasty and different from what you're usually served, e.g. I loved my green iced tea with lemongrass. As a tourists I found prices to be moderate for Prague and inexpensive compared to what you pay for similar meals in other cities. I highly recommend this place!
