- Bliss is right
Went here tonight for the first time, brought a bunch of meat heads who all seemed pleasantly surprised that the food was edible. I had the home made fish fillety thing with chips (they also offer Gardein products but I like mine without the food miles). The flavour of the fish is spot on. The consistency is a bit thick, it doesn't flake like fish does but fair enough, it's not fish. It is a bit chunky and a little bit chewy, which might put some people off but I like it. The staff were super friendly, there were 6 of us and I was the only vegan so they even gave us a free serve of deep fried Asian roast style mock duck for the meatheads to try. It was very good, a light batter and served with hoisin sauce. My meathead friends all seemed happy with what they got, clean plates all around. My only criticism is the sauces which came with the main were in small plastic single use containers... I'd rather have it slopped on my plate if that is the only other option.
