Cornwall is notoriously poor for catering for vegans and vegetarians but by chance we were in the Looe area for the weekend, looking for somewhere to eat. Our campsite was a short drive from The Monkey Sanctuary, which has the Tree-Top Cafe outside the main entrance. It literally is in amongst the trees and serves a good range of vegan options. We had the "chicken" nugget wrap, wedges and the vegan breakfast between us. The very friendly staff were happy to substitute certain items from the breakfast, which was nice. The food was very nice, in a strange setting. I'm not sure if it would be so comfortable in winter as although it's sheltered, all seating is technically outdoors, however the sun was shining when we visited and it was beautiful. Be sure to visit the monkey sanctuary while you're there. The staff do great work taking care of these beautiful animals and are very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do.
