- A great place to eat
For me, a relatively new addition to Bologna's vegan options, Universo Vegano is bright, clean, friendly and inexpensive. A 100% vegan chain of eateries throughout (most of ) Italy; and they said Italians didn't understand veganism. Their 11-11 opening hours reward the hungry traveller and the options are great- I had lasagne, pizza and salad on three consecutive nights- but soup, sandwiches, 'veghioti', foccace and burgers are also available, and they do take away. The desserts are delicious. They even sell beer and wine. If you're looking to impress your business partner, go somewhere else; if you're looking for enjoyable food in pleasant surroundings, come here!
