- Not bad
Babek is a small cute kebab/fast food shop. They offer a few vegan options, either clearly marked or offered as alternatives by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. We tried the vegan kebab - it was fine, if you like faux-meat foods and are a kebab fan you'd probably love it, it's everything a faux-meat vegan kebab should be! Other than that we had a salad which was disappointing - just lettuce/mixed greens, olive oil and balsamic. The other vegan dishes on offer might also be decent - a wrap with chickpea pancakes (sounded interesting to me and would've been keen to try) and another salad (with beetroot and sliced peach - vegan without cheese - didn't sound like something for us that day). Overall Babek was okay, thankfully for a kebab shop there are no giant rotating meat obelisks dripping fat to put you off your food. We wouldn't rush back to there to eat, among other things faux-meat is not really my thing, but if you like that sort of stuff I think you'd enjoy it quite a bit.
