- Best sandwiches in town
As mentioned by previous poster, La Gucheria specializes in sandwiches inspired by different places around the world. There is a very good selection of vegan and vegetarian sandwiches. The staff is friendly and they are very open to suggestions. If you ask, they'll let you know if they can make any of the non-vegan options vegan. Now about the food: These sandwiches are fantastic. Super tasty, fresh ingredients and you can tell they put some love into the recipes. My favorite is the Japanese guche, which is a cashew patty with wasabi mayo, topped with tempura veggies and teriyaki sauce. It's so flavorful. Their new Tico is also awesome. I bought a couple yesterday for lunch with a friend who is not vegan and they loved it. Portions are very generous.
