  • Friendly place for locals and foreigners alike

I need to balance this out... the previous review was unfortunate, I'm sorry that person maybe had a bad experience, but I go there regularly, so I think I have a better idea of how this place runs... This is one of my favourite places in Tokyo, staff are always very kind, and the idea of the place is to have a friendly English speaking environment for locals to mix with foreigners without any social pressure, and I made a lot of new friends there... As far as the food and the philosophy, it's not solely for vegetarians, but even the non-vege products are sourced locally and they use as many organic ingredients as they can, so I find it hard to believe that anyone was served any form of convenience store food. I am vegan, and we can always discuss a food item and where it came from before eating it, there's no problem there. The main reason I love this place is because of the people, the staff, and the regular guests, and how this atmosphere happily allows any new visitor to the cafe to join in the conversation and feel welcome. And of course, the owner, Noah, is one of the kindest people in the world, and made me feel welcome in Tokyo right from the beginning :)
