- Recommendable place in El Born
First, I have to say, that we went there twice, once in the evening and once at lunch-time. The first time, we had the Pica pica 'VEGETALIA' selection of starters, which is a huge plate of quite everything they have as a starter - only our beloved pan tomate was missing ;( It was quite okay, nothing special and a good portion. As main course we had the vegetarian paella (with a lot of vegetables) - quite ok - and a I had a vegan burger with saitan and tempeh without bread or rice, just with salad, which was very delicious, sappy and the best patty I ever had! Also my Nicotiser-smoothie was delicious with carrots, apple, and ginger. The service was VERY fast and friendly but as I mentioned before, the starter plate and my boyfriend's paella were quite uninspiring and "ok". So, the next day, we were strolling around in the city center and thought of giving Vegetalia an other chance because my burger and my smoothie were soooo delicious. This time, my boyfriend had the bocadillo of the day with brie, tomato, pesto and salad which he liked very much, and I had some pan tomate which was delicious as well as my smoothie Tropicalia with pineapple and coconut. And as dessert we had vegan apple strudel which was quite perfect. So, to sum up, better go there and check it out yourself! :)
