- A very nice vegan dinner - not what we expected
Not what we expected because the word Köfte is part of the name, so I was expecting a cooked ball in sauce. After eating, researched it and found it's a paste made from burger wheat, walnuts, chilli peppers, oil & herbs. The non-Turkish (not sold here) version is made from raw meat! The paste is pressed onto a flat bread, topped with herbs, lettuce, lemon & pomegranate syrup, then rolled up. We had the 25cm version with 125g of paste, but they also do 30cm with 200g of paste. All 4 of us found the smaller one very filling. There are both mild (slightly spicy) & spicy versions and I found the latter fine. Service isn't hugely fast simply because each wrap takes time to make and it's done with care.
