- avoid at all costs
Traveling South out of STL this was easy off and back on the highway, unfortunately that is about all this has going for it. They opened at 10, and we got there just after that. We walked in and the person seemed confused that we were there. There was no real indication that they were even open, other than the door being propped open. We asked about baked goods, everything was at least 1 day old. Nothing in their case was vegan. We ended up with a day old loaf of bread, it was ok, but really, sliced bread can be kind of boring when you are hungry and want something a little more substantial. Then there was the coffee. Just getting a to go cup from the worker was like pulling teeth. Then it wasn't hot, and the worker was ready to argue with us about the temperature of the coffee, it was clearly left over from the night before and sat in the air pot over night, luke warm at best. I'm down for radical co operative spaces, but this showed all of the bad points of that, weakest link in the chain or something. This might say 2 star, but I wish I could give a 0, and why won't happy cow let me rate something a 1? Big miss.
