- An intimate place that's great value for money
From the outside we initially thought the place wasn't open, but a small sign assuaged our fears. The door opened to reveal a real pearl of a restaurant. The menu really was "whatever they felt like on the day" which I thought was something that only ever happened in Rick Stein's imagination. The food was good, honest and seasonal. The ambience was relaxed, friendly and informal. Something closer to my heart, a restaurant that plays good music (in this case The Postal Service and has a computer that runs Ubuntu, really helped make this place something special.
