- Sandwiches are beautiful, sandwiches are fine...
I was recommended this sandwich shop in the Castro by a vegetarian friend of mine. What I loved about it was the fact that ANYTHING on the menu can be made vegan, and that Ike, the owner, was there to personally deliver my sandwiches to me and my partner, along with some complimentary lollipops. They also have a few interesting sodas in the cooler, including my personal fave: Coke in a glass bottle from Mexico. I got the Phil-'er-up BBQ sandwich (vegan version), which was yummy and sizeable, on good bread, but plan to order something different next time.
