  • Very creative tasty food

Gaia Veggie Shop Miramar – Japanese style (Mon-Sun 11:00am-10:00pm) Shop 2005, 2/F, Miramar Shopping Centre, 132 Nathan Rd, Tsim Sha Tsui , Kowloon, Hong Kong From Chung King Mansions (40 Nathan Rd) go right on Nathan Rd. and walk past the MTR Sha Tsui Station continue to just past Kimberly Rd > The Kowloon park has been on your left, (Don’t be deceived by looking for the Kowloon Park as a landmark – on Nathan road is a row of shops fronting the park > the park is not visible from the street) the Miramar Shopping Center is on your right. The Gaia Veggie Shop is on the second level – look for mall directory for details. Great service, lovely environment, all 4 dishes that we got were tasty and 2 of them were extra yummy. The meal for 2 of us came to $365 Hong Kong Dollars. (Just like all Hong Kong prices, expensive. Not a city for travelers on a tight budget.) We saw dozens of other items on the menu that we would love to try. Went back a second time and had 2 new items. One was tasty and the other was really tasty. Best to make reservations > second time we went (on a Friday evening around dinner time) we had a 45 minute wait to get in. Only complaint I have is that when we sat down they gave us 2 cups and a pot of watery Chinese Tea. It was presented as if it was gratuitous. At the end of the meal we were charged $24 Hong Kong Dollars for the tea. Not only do I not enjoy Chinese tea so only had a few sips because it was there, but even if I did, I certainly would not be paying $24HKD for it. I would suggest making a note to refuse the tea and have a great dining experience. Second time we went > they brought the tea, we refused it. At the end of the meal it was still on the bill. After arguing with the waiter, the best he would come up with was for us to pay for tea for one person not two, Some lame excuse that the computer automatically charges for tea for each person, whether they drink it or not.
