  • Super tasty, but...

I'd never been to a Tacos 4 Life, but I was hungry enough to pay someone else to feed me. I am SO over Subway and Tropical Smoothie Cafe so hey, let's try something new! Oh no. No no no. Yes there are vegan options, and yes it tasted *amazing,* but I'm guessing that there's some cross contamination going on in that kitchen. I'm sure any long term vegan/vegetarian knows what happens when you ingest something that isn't truly vegan/vegetarian. Yep. Within the first few hours, I thought the overly full and sad feeling belly I had was just because I ate lunch (which I normally skip). When the full brunt of my bad decision hit me though, there was no doubt why this was happening. So dine at your own risk. Or if you want an entire digestive system cleanse. Bottom line: food was extremely tasty; staff was super friendly and awesome about assuring me that the tortilla chips were vegan-safe; kind of expensive for what you get (I'm not one for dining out much, so maybe it's not? I don't know); be prepared to wish for the sweet release of death once you've really digested for a while (I say this as I'm still layed up on the couch with gurgling guts, afraid to even sip some ginger ale) Hopefully your experience here will be better. Maybe I just got "lucky."
