- delicious vegan options
This lovely cafe at the Aquadrome in Rickmansworth is definitely worth a visit. I've been a few times and there are always vegan options. I emailed them before going to check what was vegan so I was prepared to ask for what i wanted without all the questions and checking with the chefs etc. It's an eco friendly, sustainable, local-food cafe that blends in with the natural area of woods and lakes. The falafel open sandwich was delicious; the menu doesn't mention there is houmous spread on the sour dough, I only found out when I asked them to exchange the (non vegan) harissa for houmous. The falafel was really scrummy, and homemade. The park salad and bean stew are also vegan, just switch the harissa for houmous or falafel. The chips are cooked in the same fryer as the chicken nuggets, which are coated in yogurt and polenta so some veggie/vegans may be ok with that. It can get very busy at certain times so best to get there early or late if you want to be served quickly.
