- Wonderful ambience
This restaurant has a very cosy feeling to it. The lotus rice meal is lovely. The dishes are simple, but healthy. I was a tad disturbed to be seated near the kitchen and notice the cooks in there shucking shellfish and eating them while. I don't think it's hygenic and I needed to be reasured that there was no fish or shellfish in the soup or any other food after that. I do believe that the restaurant is vegan (as it is frequented by Buddhist monks), so that is why I am was surprised. The place is also a bit cold in winter. It has a wood stove, but the heat doesn't disperse very well.
