- Delightful find in Venice
Birthday treat while in Venice for a few days and wow, was it a treat! Delicious vegetable soup, packed with beans, barley and flavour, followed by ravioli with vegetables in a mild curry sauce - ravioli was stuffed with spinach and ricotta I think - and then a nice tiramisu (with a birthday candle in it, no less!) Best part of €40 with a glass of wine and coffee, which for Venice isn't that bad, and it *was* a special day. As if the food wasn't reason enough to go back, the welcome was warm, friendly and effortlessly multilingual. Lovely little place, tucked away in a quiet street away from the canalside chaos. Will definitely go back next time I'm in the Serene Republic.
