since turning veggie, i've often craved for a simple bowl of ramen or udon. i can't think of anywhere in hk where i can enjoy this without having to splurge on a vegetarian kaiseki, as traditionally most japanese broth contains pork or dashi. the menu at hoshina consists of a variety of hot/cold udon, side dishes and desserts; all extremely simple yet extremely delicious. from what i've observed, for dishes where a soft-boiled egg is normally added, staff will highlight this and you can opt for it to be excluded. please, please, hoshina, open a branch in hk or singapore! nb: i would list this outlet as "zhongxiao" rather than "da'an", simply because of the name of the closest mrt station.
