  • Tailored vegan meal without sugar, and still tasty

At this cozy place we had a home-cooked meal by the Irish young lady, and were graciously served by her Dutch boyfriend. The meal was completely tailored to our wishes (what don't you like, what do you like), but for the rest it was a total surprise what would come to the table. And that worked out perfectly. All dishes were tasting great, showed creativity within the boundaries of vegan cooking, and have surprised all of us five how much can be done when no animal products are allowed. We had zucchini spaghetti as a starter, jackfruit goulash with polenta and for dessert chocolate brownies with almond ice cream (you'd never guess there was no dairy or sugar involved). This place is definitely worth a try, be it that it's not a very cheap option. Mind you that it's up two flights of steep stairs, as is not uncommon in older Amsterdam.
