- Disappointing
I don't think Sticky Fingers lives up to the hype. It's one of the few vegan places in D.C., which is good and bad. Good, because at least it's there, but bad because in all honesty, it did not taste very good. I came here excited, having heard so many good things about Sticky Fingers, some comparing it to Vegan Treats, but left very extremely disappointed. I tried the chicken wrap, cupcakes (chocolate peanut butter and eggnog), sweet potato fries, mac and cheese, and what looked to be a peppermint whoopie pie. The sandwich was ice cold and tasteless. Literally, this was the type of sandwich that vegan jokes are made of. The chocolate cupcake and whoopie pie were both stale. The sweet potato fries tasted and smelled like B.O. (no joke - they were so disgusting and soggy that we threw them out after one bite). Of the $35 spent, only the mac and cheese and eggnog cupcake tasted good. On top of the mediocre food, the staff downright sucked! Now, this may be a D.C. thing - many establishments we visited during our 3 day stay were less than friendly, but still, the staff at Sticky Fingers acted as though our visit was an inconvenience. We were planning on stopping by again for brunch on Saturday before our departure, but after trying the food, we were disgusted and decided not to. So disappointing. I'm hoping maybe they were just having an off night. Updated from previous review on Sunday December 13, 2015
