- Gutted, supermarket food
Supermarket food. Quite shocking really given how good this used to be. Given how easy it is to make fresh pesto etc (Great British Chefs website) having it from the local free from section is inexcusable, this could be a fantastic place. Definitely don't take non vegans here it's all the downsides of this amazing diet in one place. Sorry. I've given an extra star purely as it's 100% vegan. Please turn this place around. Prior review years ago: A snug cafe/restaurant offering BYOB and clearly marked (v) items on the all veggie menu. Although "hippie" in decor, the establishment is underpinned by a wonderful charitable ethic throughout. The pace is relaxed and the staff are lovely. Prices are very fair. There are also unique tasty items that really work too, like banana ketchup! Not sure how much is organic but all items are delicious and the cakes, typical of vegan cakes, are (of course) wonderful.
