- Near Warner Brothers Studios
I went to the Warner Brothers Studio Tour with my family and was looking for some vegan food afterwards. Lotus Vegan was only about a two mile drive from the studio so we decided to go there. The place is pretty big. There's plenty of sitting inside and a couple of tables outside as well. We went for lunch so we mostly ordered lunch specials for our meals. For appetizers we started with fried dumplings and spring rolls. The spring rolls were much better than the dumplings. The dumplings weren't bad, but I've definitely had better. I ordered the Broccoli lunch special with tofu for my meal. My mom and brother both ordered the Pad Thai and my dad ordered the Mystery Stir Fried Veg with tofu. My other brother just ate the rest of the spring rolls and dumplings. The lunch specials come with a spring roll and a choice of soup or salad. We all ordered the Miso Soup. I haven't had Miso soup in probably 15 years because I've never found a vegan version before this, so I thought it was pretty good. However, my omnivore parents and brothers, who eat regular Miso soup all the time, thought it tasted good, but not like Miso soup. My parents liked the spring rolls and said they were comparable with non-vegan versions. The rice that comes with the meal looks interesting, its a sort of red color, but I thought it was very good. We all really enjoyed our meals. Our bill only came out to $50 which you can't really beat for 4 meals with soup, rice, and a spring roll plus two appetizers and drinks. The portion sizes look a little small at first but it was enough to fill us all up, and trust me that's not an easy task.
