- Didn't get a potato, but....
As with anywhere in the utterly confusing maze that is the Dizengoff shopping mall, a certain amount of luck was needed to finally stumble across Alex potatoes. It was fairly late in the evening and I arrived just in time to see the last potato being served to the customer ahead of me. However, the friendly staff assured me they still had soup (beckoned me to have a look in the tureen!) so I opted for that and some bread. Both were delicious, the soup was tomato with all sorts of veg/shredded cabbage which made it nice and substantial, and the bread was AMAZING! It was a flatbread full of fresh herbs (oregano I think)...several days later and I still drool a little thinking about it! So, friendly and inexpensive place to fill up on vegan goodness, but don't leave it too late if you do want a potato!
