- Yummy but expensive
Went to Vegenote on our first day in Kyoto, but it was really tricky to find. Luckily, I took the address in Japanese with us and someone showed us the way. The menu was good, and I went for a special of the day which was spaghetti with a fresh tomato sauce. There were no accompaniments, but it was filling and tasty. They have a small shop in the entrance with some organic snacks and cereals. I got a packet of pretzel biscuits for a snack. The food was good, it had a friendly atmosphere and there were a few other Japanese diners, but it was pretty expensive for what it was. The service was quite fast, but I don't think I'd go back because there are so many other fantastic veggie options in Kyoto, with better prices.
