  • Vegetarian greasy spoon!

I have visited the Cavern Café many times. I love it because I know I can always pop in when I have a craving for an English breakfast! Their vegan breakfast includes hash browns, baked beans, mushrooms, tomato and either toast or fried bread, recently it's also included sausages so they must have switched to vegan friendly ones. The service is friendly but slow, because often the person who takes the order is also the person doing the cooking! Not ideal when you're on a lunch break (as I often have been when visiting!) but fine if you've got a bit of time on your hands. It's an indie club, so expect loud music, dark walls, sticky floors and the smell of stale beer. If you don't mind that (or even quite like it, which I do) and you fancy visiting a vegetarian version of a greasy spoon café you'll like this place. It's also ridiculously good value for money!
