- Not all food can be good
Sometimes, you have to do a review to both let owners and eaters that something is running amiss. At lunch For 9,000 Colombian pesos (prepaid) , you will get a meal (let's call it that). It started with A sort of light if not yellow potage of onions ( daily sodium allowance will be covered), followed by a horrid fried rice with textured protein in probably the cheapest and most unhealthy oil available, a few grams of freshly cut vegetables (see pic) , a 5gr piece of bread and a glass of a dubious soy drink. Well we are not going back. Nothing tasted good and the local in an underground passage way only relieved us of the pouring rain. I feel bad for businesses that can't make food taste good... We have tried many vegetarian/vegan restaurants in Medellin. This one failed both patrons as my lunch companion could not leave soon enough. In a country with the most abundant access to affordable fresh produce, it is unfathomable to me as there are much better places to go for just a little bit more money. Again the adage is proved true: you get what you pay for....
