- Only all vegan restaurant, I know of, in Nepal
We stayed for 4 nights, in the Boudha area of Kathmandu. The restaurant is located, upstairs, in a building near the Boudhanath Stupa. The hallway to the stairs is dark and dreary, but don't be scared. Go up the stairs. Go! The owners, Shakti and his sister, Samu are the sweetest people you will ever meet. Shakti is also a travel guide and I highly recommend his services. He will make sure you get actual vegan food and have the time of your life doing it. We ate every meal there, for our 4 night stay. We stayed right around the corner, at Sangbos's Guesthouse (he's also vegan), which we also highly recommend. Contact him here: https://www.facebook.com/wegainzone Anyway, the food was always great and very cheap. Please go and support this great place. Oh, and take a cooking class, while you're there.
