- Two words: plantain dumplings
Friends know I rarely eat at non veg*n spots but I was lured into this place by the promise of Ghanaian food and the smiling folks standing outside handing out menus bearing numerous clear 'V' for vegetarian and 'Ve' for vegan tags. Turns out they have two vegan main dishes, blackeye beans with plantain dumplings and spicy spinach with rice. They also have a vegan soup on the menu. I've now tried both vegan mains and though I'm not a fan of white rice, it's at least perfectly cooked and the bean stew and the spinach stew were both delicious. The people are really lovely too, and you can taste anything they have before you buy. The food is made, so you can grab it and run. And folks, I have to tell you the plantain dumplings are highly addictive. I'm becoming a regular...
