- Tasty fresh organic food in unique location
Lokaal is located in a tiny spot at the beginning of 'The Glass Street', better known as the red light district. The area is a mix of hip and fancy shops/restaurants with shabby spots, always lively. The little restaurant is decorated with self-made and second hand stuff, very cozy. The owner spins vinyl records. There's a lot of attention given to sustainability. The food is fresh and tasty, with local ingrediënts from Gent. The menu doensn't offer that much choice but each item changes regularly. The prices are really cheap. No Lipton here, but lovely cups of fresh herbal tea. I recommend the Serenité.
