- Hidden gem - but unfortunately not all vegan any more!
Update 11/04/19: We went there again recently, the food is still great and the staff was very friendly. As they now serve meat, the vegan options became somewhat limited (unfortunately no faux-meat options any more), which is a shame. But my tarte flambee was delicious and apart from the vegan dessert on the menu (there is just one on the menu now), they also had 3 vegan desserts of the day from which we could choose. Next to the standard soap dispenser in the loo, there is also a vegan liquid soap, which is a nice touch. --- End of update--- You won't stumble upon this great restaurant by chance, especially as a tourist, as it is located in the unattractive suburban town of Emmenbruecke. But it is well worth a detour and not far from Lucerne (7 minutes by train). The restaurant is located within a former industrial park that has its own train station, so it's very easily accessible. The evening menu used to be all vegan, but unfortunately, they added dishes containing meat, eggs and dairy. They have faux-meat as well as traditionally vegan options. Everything we had there (we were three, two vegans and an omnivore) was delicious, even the omnivore loved his faux-meat main. For pudding, we had tasty ice cream in a pot from "The Green Fairy" (Swiss vegan ice cream brand). Staff was very friendly and helpful. The opening hours have since the renaming. Finally, the restaurant is also open on Saturday evenings. Updated from previous review on 2018-09-10
