  • Good, simple mexican food

We stopped here during the quiet early September (decidedly low tourist attendance) season and had the small restaurant-kitchenette to ourselves. Food was straightforward and good--nothing flashy, but healthy without a doubt, and did the job. We had guac, salsa, chips, and two taco/fajitta dishes, one with some sort of cactus (a good, smokey/sweet flavor?) and another simpler beans-corn-etc dish. Service was very slow, but we werent in a hurry--took about 20 min for chips/fresh salsa/guac, and another 20+ for our main dishes. It was as though they made everything fresh upon our arrival--perhaps due to a slow day. We didnt mind, but it wasnt speedy. Limited english spoken, but we were able to make ourselves understood with limited spanish and gestures. Recommended, if you're in the mood for healthy, simple food.
