  • Mock meat central

I don't know what the previous reviewers ordered, but I can say that there's nothing remotely Thai about this restaurant. I've lived in Thailand and China, and this felt 100% Chinese. It's certainly not a place to come if you want a fresh salad. There are 252 items on the menu (plus seven drinks; I counted), and almost every food dish centres around a mock meat of some kind. Including things like vegetarian shark fin soup. There are four large freezers in the somewhat dirty restaurant itself (and perhaps more out the back), and your order is likely going to come out of one of these. Personally I prefer fresh vegetables and tend to avoid mock meats, so this wasn't ideal for me, but it was still ok I guess. The staff were lovely, and it was perhaps the most extensive vegetarian menu that I've ever seen. Not a place to come for a romantic dinner or for a fresh, organic salad though. Expect to pay around 50 baht for a main dish.
