- I was there on opening day and the food was great!
I went to Vegan Cafe' the day it opened: as it is normal with new venues, there were the usual teething problems... staff not to sure of what's available, cash only, etc. but you can see it will be a really great place once these small creases have been ironed out. We had a gyros wrap, smooth, delicious and indulgent, and a greek moussaka, equally filling and delicious. The potatoes on top were to die for. The food was really impressive: tasty, not sparing on flavours, just really nice! Even the salad dressing was good. Keep in mind this is a cafe': do not expect aragula and pea shoots leaves style of food, but be confident that what they make is beautifully cooked and seasoned! The space is also very cute, with a feminine slant: the type of place which is ideal for a morning or afternoon break with a friend, with hot chocolate and cake. I think they may soon need to change the layout to allow for more seating space, which at the moment is pretty limited. Demand may be high enough!
