• 222 delicious, we stuffed ourselves silly!

We were in London for a wedding and used the Happy Cow app to find something to eat the night before; we went out of our way to visit 222 and it was well worth it! We had the soup of the day to start, carrot and pumpkin, which was easily one of the best soups we had ever tasted. There was a lot of choice on the menu and we were tempted by the daily specials but opted for something we don't often have because somebody on the next table was having it and it looked great - this was the 222 Burger, salad and chunky chips with homemade tomato sauce. Again, we both really enjoyed our food but couldn't finish it as we were beginning to feel somewhat stuffed... Nevertheless, we decided to force down a dessert. I was gutted to find that the cheesecake was not on that evening so I went for the raw chocolate torte; I can't remember what my meat-eating partner went for but we were both really happy with the food/drinks here. Getting a first drink took longer than we would have liked but that could just be because we'd walked 5 miles to get there on a hot July day! Definitely worth a visit!
