• one of my favourites

the mangold lokal is one of my alltime favourite restaurants in hamburg. they have a basic menu with a few vegan options for every meal (like salad, burgers, breakfast) and weekly changing dishes with at least two vegan options. the restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere with music playing in the background and nice lighting although it doesn't have the classic 'restaurant' atmosphere. i like to go there for a coffee and a snack rather than a three course menu. the food is always delicious but a bit pricy if you order a big salad or a burger (i recommend their soups which are delicious and inexpensive) I visit the mangold lokal every now and then, it is located near the schanzenviertel but in a more relaxed and quiet part. you can sit outside in summer and watch children play on the playground and the meadow opposite to the restaurant (don't worry, it won't be noisy)
