• Charming little Loving Hut

This is a delightful little Loving Hut conveniently located between Xindian Station and the suspension footbridge over the river (a minute's walk from either). It serves fairly typical Loving Hut fare of burgers, pasta and other 'comfort foods' which are clearly very popular with Taipei day trippers. Prices are very reasonable at around NT100-200 per meal. They also do ice creams, which are great to take out for a stroll along the river. I recommend having one meal here, going for a walk or hike and then going to @Peace Cafe for the other meal. If you are visiting Wulai (which I don't recommend) get a meal at either or both places to take out, because there's nothing to eat at Wulai. It's a pity that the Loving Vegan restaurant closed, but Xindian has become a little vegan haven.
