- Still not vegan
We first visited Chay Asia in Summer 2014. It said "vegetarian" in German and "vegan" in English on the signs. We had sushi, which we ended up liking very much, but although not expected in such a place, we had to make sure it was vegan. It was a surprise to them that tamago is not vegan. Summer 2015 we went back, hungry for Sushi. Although online, like here on happy cow, it says they went vegan, their menu still offers tea with honey and coffee with condensed milk. So - be prepared to still check your choices with the waiters and ask, ask, ask. Beside that, the place is only nice if you can sit outside. Inside it must feel like you actually are in that loud and stressed TV show they like to watch there and make you hear outside. And I have to agree with former reviewers: Smiling... is not their specialty. All in all they offer a great variety and it seems they prepare it freshly. The food however is not mindblowing, but it's okay. For that, we will come back from time to time.
