It was a relief when we finally saw the restaurant, especially after I'd first sat down at the Cafe Alameda, only realizing my mistake while looking at their meaty, fishy menu over a glass of Rioja. The Alameda de Hercules is an area with lots of restaurants & bars & it was on the other side from where I'd expected it to be (North I think). We sat outside & were waited on by a friendly young man who spoke good English. The food was very good though one item (can't remember what) was strange, but maybe not to a Spanish palate. The waiter said they were 100% veggie. They've probably fixed the toilets by now so I won't mention them.
