Based on Cobalt Business park a few miles out of Newcastle city centre hence the subtle chemistry-based pun in the title. This fresh, minimalist and modern place does a lot of trade at lunchtimes with white collar workers from the various employers in what is one of, if not the largest business park in the UK. The catchment area is perfect. I've added this listing because it is very veg friendly with fair vegan choice. I love baked potatoes and the baked potatoes here are excellent. Prices have increased since my last visit in 2015 so £4.50 will get you a weighty vegan jalfrezi curry or arrabiata filled potato with side salad. The breakfast menu is totally vegetarian including items such as toast, porridge and bagels. They also specialise in power salads, power smoothies and fruit shakes. They can now offer soya and almond milk alternatives for these drinks and also with coffee. The only meat on the menu is generally chicken and tuna but unfortunately they do sometimes have other varieties with specials of the day. Overall the green and healthy theme is evident throughout. Not really worth a go if you don't work in the area but it's an option if you are visiting the Silverlink Retail Park nearby. There is also plenty of nicely arranged seating inside as well as some tables outside in the summer months.
