  • Decent place but really nothing special

We arrived in Nha Trang during Tết holidays, and during that time you can buy vegetarian food only in street food stalls and in suspicious cafes with vegetarian options in tourist district. So when this restaurant was finally opened it was like gasp of fresh air. At least it had nice interior and a menu where you could really choose something. But after some time it was clear that it was more like sigh rather than full breath. There were a lot of options on the menu but they all were "same same". I mean they really didn't taste different at all. So we can say they only had one or two noodle soups, one salad, one noodle etc. And also they were serving typical Vietnamese street food but it was more expensive than, for example, in Bồ Đề. Also don't try to ask staff hard questions in English. We tried to ask one waiter (he was the best there in English in our opinion) about fish in their dishes, and the difficulties in communication were literally reflected on his face and forehead. :) Finally he just managed to say "Don't worry". Sitting in Cô Tấm you can enjoy pictures of Buddha on the walls. And as far as I know it's the only chay place in Nha Trang where they have tableclothes. Local people also like this place so sometimes it will be hard to find a table. As for fish sauce since it's a CHAY place I think you shouldn't worry about that. They only have fake "fish sauce". Like we had bánh xèo, and it was served with some type of vinegar water. As for milk and animal ingredients I think it will be difficult for you to ask, so if you're vegan you should eat there at your own risk. :)
