• Terrible Service, And I'm a LOCAL

I am tired of people treating clients as if they were of a lesser species. If you do like people treating you and making you feel this way The Cafe is the place to go to! Wanting to be proven wrong, I have returned now several times, hoping things would change, and quite honestly they haven't, won't and I have come to terms with it. As a local, I was treated rudely by the staff and was "stood up" by our waitress for an entire hour once, serving THREE tables who had arrived after the fact we ordered. This happened when we had visiting guests, and felt humiliated to have recommended such a restaurant. I'm not sure what has happened to this venue, but what a complete disaster. What was once a favorite venue, has sadly turned into a "avoid-at-all-cost" restaurant. HELP YOURSELF is a much better choice and has a friendly staff that will never fail to say hello, smile, and serve you with respect and grace. As much as I love the idea of having more vegetarians and vegan restaurants, the hospitality shouldn't be overlooked and forgotten, especially in such a touristy environment like Key West possesses.
