• Vegan grocery + Christian bookstore = wow

This place is one of the coolest and most unexpected places in the greater DC metro area. You really have to go in person to appreciate it. It's a VERY Christian (Seventh Day Adventist) place - bookstore with loud Christian music and church promoting things all over the place. At the same time it has an all vegan (I think - or at least almost all) grocery store! This is the first time I've ever seen such a thing and they definitely had products I've never seen elsewhere (like TheVegetarianExpress parmesan cheese sprinkles made out of almond flour and nutritional yeast - and they were one of the first places in DC area to carry Chao Cheese). It also has lots of health/beauty products and teas (no caffeine). Personally I'm not into the religious stuff, but this place is seriously a jewel and I will go back.
