- A vegan oasis in a vegan desert (Amiens).
Amiens is awash with with foie gras, cream, cheese, and meat. We were getting quite discouraged when we discovered this small Japanese restaurant. We were able to choose enough vegan dishes to have a good feed, and we enjoyed the food. The place is situated in the tourist strip on the river, in a group of Japanese restaurants. Beware though, the one across the road could not help us with Vegetarian /vegan food. The owner has vegan friends who are vegetarian (Japanese vegetarian is actually usually vegan since they use very little dairy). She is willing to produce a separate vegan menu so we will be interested to hear if she dies -from the next vegan visitors to Amiens!
