I finally got around to visiting Chanhouse the other night, as I've heard some great reviews from friends. It's a newly renovated restaurant and the decor is clean and modern which is pleasing, especially compared to some of the other restaurants I've been to recently. The taro fish and black vinegar spare ribs were delicious, I'd probably order those again next time I'm there, although I'm keen to see what else they have to offer. I went on a Saturday night and there were quite a few people there but the friendly staff were quite punctual and helpful in explaining the dishes to me. The price point was affordable, and the portions were a decent size for what I paid for. Overall I'd rate it quite well, probably the pick of the bunch for me in terms of the eastern area. I'll be going back to get a better look at the rest of the menu.
