  • Tasty and well worth the money

Chutney is often mentioned, even recommended to a vegan who has recently moved to Stockholm. Checked it out today at late lunch time. It was not that crowded we got our own table. There were three vegan dishes on the lunch list (for 80 SEK, including coffee and salad and bread - the interesting looking brown bread was not vegan though). Additionally there was the obligatory (I think in ALL the vegetarian restaurants in Sweden) not-vegan lasagne... Vegan burger would have cost more, 120 SEK I think. The "Indiska biffar med potatismos och rödbetsås" was very good! The lady behind the dish who served the food mentioned right away that it's okay to have more food if youre still hungry - and the portion WAS quite small so both my and companion went back for seconds. On the minus side: the coffee on the lunch buffet side table was stale and old, and i saw the waitress add new coffee on top of the old in the pan! Whoa! There was the possibility to PAY for coffee (obviously, it's o lunch cafeteria type of place), even special coffees like espresso etc I would assume that would taste better.
