- Once you figure out how to order, delicious!
I am a huge Loving Hut fan. This one is delicious of course, but a little more complicated than the others I’ve been to. You order at a cashier first. The menu board is only in Chinese, but they have an English menu. Ask the cashier for a copy. They accept cash and Octopus Card, but no credit cards. After ordering, you give your slip of paper to another counter. Behind that counter they prepare your food and hand it over to you when it’s ready. The staff spoke plenty of English to get us through this process. I also found it a bit hard to find. It’s in Amoy Plaza, which, as you may have guessed, is a mall. There are indoor and outdoor sections of the mall, Loving Hut is in the outdoor part. I also had a tough time figuring out how to walk over from the Kowloon Bay stop. There really isn’t a direct route on a road, so map websites might not be the biggest help. There are signs in the station for Amoy Plaza, but these will only take you so far. We ended up walking on a pedestrian exercise track to cut through the residences that lie between the station and the mall. So look for that and join your fellow walkers and joggers for a moment before eating delicious Loving Hut. If you’re used to Supreme Master TV being shown on regular sized TV screen, you’re in luck, this one has a projector for big screen Supreme Master TV! So Supreme Master points for that. If you think you won’t like something called Supreme Master TV, find a seat facing away. Personally, I think Supreme Master TV is a fun quirk of Loving Hut, but I know some people are annoyed by it.
