  • Charming, special and fantastic

Quite a find. Nestled in gorgeous and historic Bradford near the grand and romantic city of Bath, this curious 18th century windmill is stone-wall-thick with history and character. Unique architecture, attentive hosts, a cherished garden and breathtaking views combine here in a way that is at once both inspiring and adorable. And let's also talk about the vegan breakfast. Priscilla had prepared a special menu (all breakfasts are hearty and vegetarian but ours was extra vegan-friendly) with four or five choices. Cooked at surprising speed and with attention to allergies they were delicious and filling - enough to save us until a late lunch. Breakfast was included in the price which was very fair for 2 people in a generously appointed room (and bathroom and sitting room, all with pointy-topped ancient stone windows).
