  • Cosy South-German cake-Goodness

Die Leckereienfabrik is a very small café in an area of Berlin (die Rote Insel - that's where Marlene Dietrich spent some time of her life) with fewer vegan places than in other areas of Berlin. The interior design is super-cute with with lots of grand-ma-style furniture. The café has a decidedly south-German cooking style as it was opened by two ladies from down south: Main attraction are the incredibly yummy cakes and noodles (which are actually cakes, too, Bavarians do speak a confusing dialect). They are too good to be true and you will hardly notice anything missing in terms of milk or eggs. They bake their own gluten-free bread, there´s croissants, smoothies, coffee with homemade almond-milk or soy to choose from. There is also one main dish, a soup, some salads, breakfast, and sandwiches. Prices ain't cheap but quality is top notch and worth the money. Staff is very friendly, they even have a small piggy bank on the counter: rub its ears and you will win the lottery. It´s a bit off the beaten track, but the Leckereienfabrik (the "factory for things that tase yummy") is worth the trip. An S-Bahn station is nearby.
