- It is OK!
I regularly go Bo De on Quan Su as it is convenient and the food is OK. Good rice. It is pretty convenient to the railway station for people heading south on the train. It doesn't really deserve just 3 star ratings, as it is a decent, clean and large Vietnamese vegetarian place - this is what vegetarian is like in Vietnam. It isn't pretentious or 'creative' as such. It passed my Vietnamese friend's taste test, although it isn't exactly a standout, just good. I usually get the 60 000 VND set (Xuat 60 000) - it has fake fish, but it is not at all fishy, just the taste of the tomato sauce (sot ca). There are cheaper set options (as low as 30 000) and one can order individual dishes too. They have a buffet on Buddhist days - this is expensive at 150 000 VND but was one of the best I have had of this setup that is quite common with restaurants associated with a pagoda. The choice and taste were great. Oh, and they sell beer, both with alcohol and without. And if the television bothers you, sit the other way. It doesn't have any sound.
