• Life's too short to eat mediocre food

I've been to Violette's twice now. The first time I had the burger with mashed potatoes and the second time the spaghetti with meatballs. The mashed potatoes tasted just like cooked potatoes with no seasoning at all. The burger is a little mushy ball that has to be smashed down to help cover the big round bun it's on, not very flavorful. The spaghetti sauce was ok but the meatballs were mushy with an odd taste. This place has the appeal of being gourmet but needs to improve the taste of food or it won't be open long. I don't want to see it fail. I cook almost all meals in this household which are vegan. The food has to taste good or it gets thrown out. Updated from previous review on Tuesday March 10, 2015 I went back to Violette's last week for lunch and had a very good reuben sandwich.
